How long will it take to have my home loan approved?
Every borrower’s situation is different and has its own assessment criteria, so the time it takes can vary, with some scenarios taking longer for final approval than others. It is important to supply all the information required as soon as possible after our first meeting so we can be sure to reach a decision on your application quickly and within the required time frame
How much deposit do I need to get a home loan?
To ensure a smooth mortgage process, we recommend having a minimum of 20% of the purchase price as a deposit. However, for first-home buyers, a 5% deposit may be sufficient. Additionally, it’s important to have funds available to cover associated purchase costs. While most lenders require a 5% deposit and proof of savings for 3 months when borrowing over 80% of the property value, these requirements can vary among lenders and may be mandatory for mortgage-insured loans.
